Recording Sessions Update - Part 1

Hey Everyone!

After the first full weekend of tracking, I (err, we) feel GREAT about the direction of the album. I was worried after putting together a band and seeking out a new producer, but my reservations have been put to rest. The chemistry is definitely there and we’re all gelling really well. From Anthony (the producer) to the guys in the band (Jason, Matt, Adam) we’re moving along without any hiccups to this point. Having those guys around to give their input on how to make a better finished product is paying dividends early in the recording process.

In just two sessions, we’ve accomplished much more than any of us anticipated. We have the bones of 6/10 songs done, which is outpacing my expectations by about 3-4 songs. The attention to detail in what we have done already is something very new to me. I mean, I’m used to tracking with an acoustic guitar and maybe layering some leads with an electric. Now, we have the ability to dial in the tone we want. We’ve already used about 6-7 guitars on the album and will be adding a couple more to the mix.

**I’ll share pictures of all of the guitars in a couple weeks once tracking is finished, for those of you who care to see the equipment.

I can’t wait to share the new music, I think we’re onto something special!

Cheers!
