Recording Sessions Update - Part 2

Today was a good day. Aside from finishing up the acoustic guitar tracks, Adam made some progress tracking bass. Once that's done, the real fun (for me) begins. We have a lot of markers in place where we can start to fine tune and adjust what we've already tracked. Having so many sets of great ears on the record is really paying off.

This upcoming week starts vocal tracking. I'm really excited to start experimenting with different (high end) microphones. My goal for this album is to keep the vocals honest, but utilize the tools we have to get a more "radio ready" sound. I'm not sure what we'll be doing, but I'll try to update you through blog posts. Maybe include a list of gear used on the album? I guess time will tell...

I should also mention that we started filming for an EPK video! Ty Heimann will be the mastermind behind the video, which should be released shortly before the album. I don't want to reveal too many details, but it will include some interviews with the band and the producer, Anthony Longano, as well as audio clips from a few songs on the album.

Last but not least, Lane Kerr is making some great progress on the album artwork. I can't wait to see what he can come up with for the "new look" Nick Mock Band. Of course, I will share it with you once it's all finalized.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading!
